September Philippines Weather

September overview

September is one of the wettest months of the year in the Philippines. The monsoonal rains are particularly prevalent across the northern island of Luzon, which sees the highest levels of rainfall, making the more remote regions less accessible. September also sees an increased risk of typhoons.

Whilst it’s true that September is the height of the wet season in the Philippines, with thousands of islands spread over such a large area it’s always possible to find somewhere to escape the worst weather. As the rains move south they lose some of their intensity, and in regions such as Bohol, Cebu and Siargao rainfall is interspersed by sunshine.

Warm temperatures can be experienced across the islands, with daily temperatures ranging from 24°C to 33°C.
